When it comes to being eco-friendly and helping our planet, I am all for it. So when a brand has the wonderful initiative of aiming to limit their effect on the beautiful world around us by providing us sustainable fashion, I can’t be any happier. And that’s exactly what Gurus bring us. They make traditional Indian sandals made from sustainable sourced rubber; sustainable cork yoga mats and blocks; hats and clothing with conscious sayings; and the most exciting of all is that they promise to plant a tree for every purchase made, how awesome is that?! So as I do believe that we must take care of our mother earth every single day, I already got myself the adorable Earthday Girl Tank and the super cute Lavender Sandal.
When it comes to eco friendly and handmade products, I am all up for it. Not only they are super unique in a conscious way, but they also pass the message of making our world a little better. This week I received these two beautiful pieces from Mirabilio, a new jewelry line that specializes in individually handcrafted jewelry made from natural elements. My choices were, the one of a kind To The Core necklace, which has a beautiful dried and unopened lily pod pendant. And the adorable Head Over Heels bead for my dreadlocks. I also want to mention that in hopes of bringing back traditional craftsmanship work, Mirabilio created a Kickstarter Projectto fight against the industry giants that have flooded the market with machine made parts that have unsustainable and unethical standards. So, if you agree with this way of thinking and you want to make a difference, please make sure you pledge to this wonderful campaign and help them reach their goal. Mother Nature thanks you 😉
It’s earth day, a day to celebrate mother nature and remind everyone what we can do to protect earth and show how important it truly is. It all started 40 years ago as a small grassroots movement in the early 70’s and quickly became a world-wide concern for our environment. Nowadays it’s easy to find eco friendly products of all kinds, which is a wonderful sign that things are changing for better, but unfortunately we still have a long journey to conquer by making everyone conscious about this matter. Please visit Earth Day.org and find a few ways to help this cause 😉
