On this episode the designers went to a circus to get inspired for the challenge. With the buget of $300 they finally had a two-day challenge! Tim advertised:”it’s very easy to create a costume inspired by the circus, but it’s relatively difficult to create one that embraces fashion” and I totally agree with him. This is exactly why I did not like the majority of the outfits created, to be honest… I only like Emilio’s (first picture) but I decided to show Seth Aareon’s too, because he is such an amazing tailor and you can see the effort that he puts in every creation. In the end they are both going (went) to fashion week and the judges were undecided about the third designer. So they gave Jay and Mila the opportunity to create their line. The judges will choose the third contestant after seeing each of their creations. Below are my favs, but take a look at Project Runway site and choose which one you like better.

Neste episódio os designers foram ao circo para se inspirarem para este desafio. Com o buget de US $300, eles finalmente tiveram um desafio de dois dias! Tim anunciou:”é muito fácil criar uma fantasia inspirada no circo, mas é relativamente difícil criar uma que engloba moda” e eu concordo totalmente com ele. É exatamente por isso que eu não gostei da maioria das roupas criadas, pra ser honesta… eu só gostei do Emílio (primeira foto), mas resolvi mostrar tambem a do Seth Aareon porque ele é um incrível costureiro e você pode ver o esforço que ele coloca em cada criação. No final, ambos estão indo (foram) pra fashion week e os juízes ficaram indecisos sobre o terceiro designer. Então, eles deram ao Jay e a Mila a oportunidade de criar sua linha. On the tenth challenge the designers were very excited when they found out they had to design their own fabric. Imagine that! This is every designer’s dream… and it was a Project Runway first. Such a good opportunity to show the judges (and us) their creativity from the start to the end of the look. But unfortunately, I was not impressed with their fabrics =/ Emilio wins.. and sorry to say this, but I didn’t like his fabric (it was like Louis Vuitton’s print but with his initials), but I did love the top of the dress. In my opinion the winner was Maya (red and black digital print) her look was very innovative, and she’s the only one that haven’t won any challenge yet, although she was in the top three many times!

No décimo desafio os designers ficaram muito animados quando descobriram que eles tinham que criar o seu próprio tecido. Imagine isso! Esse é o sonho de todo designer… e foi a primeira vez no Project Runway. Uma boa oportunidade para mostrar aos juízes (e a nós) a sua criatividade do início ao fim do look. Mas, infelismente eu não fiquei impressionada com os tecidos que eles criaram =/ Emilio venceu.. e lamento dizer isso, mas não gostei do tecido dele (que era como a estampa da Louis Vuitton sendo com as iniciais dele) mas, eu amei o top do vestido. Na minha opinião, a vencedora foi a Maya (impressão digital em vermelho e preto) seu look foi muito inovador, e ela é a única que ainda não ganhou nenhum desafio, embora ela esteve no top três muitas vezes!

On the ninth challenge the designers were separated in pairs. Each team went to a different NY neighborhood : Chinatown, the East Village, the Upper East Side and Harlem, to get inspiration from the streets to create 2 looks (a day and a night look) that represented their designated neighborhood. I liked this challenge a lot because it explored a little bit of New York and showed us the diversity of culture, style and personality that the city has to offer.
I also loved because the winner team (Emilio and Seth Aaron) worked with denim, so this confirms what I said yesterday: denim is the new black . Below are my favorites,but take a look at Project Runway site and choose which one you like better.

No nono desafio os designers foram divididos em pares. Cada time foi para um bairro diferente de NY: Chinatown, a East Village, o Upper East Side e Harlem, para obter inspiração das ruas para criar 2 looks (um look pro dia e um para noite), que represente seu designado bairro. Eu gostei muito deste desafio porque explorou um pouco de Nova York e nos mostrou a diversidade de cultura, estilo e personalidade que a cidade tem para oferecer.
Eu também amei porque o time vencedor (Emilio e Seth Aaron) trabalhou com o denim, então isso confirma o que eu disse ontem: denim is the new black . Abaixo estão os meus favoritos, mas dê uma olhada no site do Project Runway e escolha qual deles você gosta mais.

On the eighth challenge the designers were asked to create an outfit inspired by one of the four natural elements: water, air, earth and fire. Each designer choose a random card which contained the element that they had to work with, and they had to be fast because this challenge had to be completed in only one day.

No oitavo desafio os designers foram convidados a criar um outfit inspirado por um dos quatro elementos naturais: água, ar, terra e fogo. Cada designer escolheu uma carta aleatória que continha o elemento que eles tinham que trabalhar,e tiveram que ser rápidos porque este desafio tinha que ser concluído em apenas um dia.

On the seventh challenge the designers had to create an outfit using unusual materials that they had to buy from a hardware store! It was very interesting to see the designers working on this project. They had to be extremely creative in order to win this challenge.
I totally agree with Tim Gunn when he said: “Although this challenge produced some clunkers, it also produced some of the best and most innovative work in the history of the show. Congratulations, designers!”

No sétimo desafio os designers tiveram que criar um outfit usando materiais incomuns que eles tiveram que comprar de uma loja de ferramentas! Foi muito interessante ver os designers trabalhando neste projecto. Eles tiveram de ser extremamente criativos para vencer este desafio.
Eu concordo totalmente com Tim Gunn, quando ele disse: “Embora este desafio produziu alguns clunkers, ele também produziu alguns dos melhores e mais inovadores trabalhos da história do show. Parabéns, designers! “

On the sixth challenge the designers were informed to create a look for kids, but on the next day Tim Gunn came with a surprise by telling them that they must design a corresponding look for their adult models. So, they had to work double in this challenge.
It was interesting to see the confusion of the designers, because they are use to work with adults and not children, some of them were completely lost, it was kind of funny! Below are my favs, but take a look at Project Runway site and choose which one you like better.

No sexto desafio os designers foram informados para criar um look para crianças, mas no dia seguinte Tim Gunn veio com uma surpresa dizendo que eles tinham que criar um look correspondente para suas modelos adultas. Então, eles tiveram que trabalhar dobrado neste desafio.
Foi interessante ver a confusão dos designers, porque eles são acostumados a trabalhar com adultos e não crianças, alguns deles ficaram completamente perdidos, foi muito engraçado! Abaixo estão os meus favoritos, mas de uma olhadinha no site do Project Runway e escolha o que você gosta mais.

On the fourth challenge the designers had to create a red dress for an important event promoted by Campbell Soup’s to create awareness about heart diseases. They had to work with guest models. The guests were amazing women that had been impacted by heart disease.
I personally don’t like red so it was a bit difficult for me to love any of the dresses but I tried my best. Below are my favs, but take a look at Project Runway site and choose which one you like better.

No quarto desafio os designers tiveram que criar um vestido vermelho para um importante evento promovido pela Campbell Soup’s para criar conscientização sobre doenças cardíacas. Eles tiverão que trabalhar com modelos convidadas. As convidadas eram mulheres surpreendentes que foram afetadas por doenças do coração.
Eu pessoalmente não gosto de vermelho por isso foi um pouco difícil para mim amar qualquer um dos vestidos, mas eu tentei o meu melhor. Abaixo estão os meus favoritos, mas de uma olhadinha no site do Project Runway e escolha o que você gosta mais.

OMG it’s today! I’ve been counting the days until today’s date…can’t wait to see what’s gonna happen. This will be the first episode of the final season of LOST and finally they are going to unfold all the mysteries that surround the island and bother us since the first season. So, if you are a Lost fan (like me) don’t forget to set your alarm for 8:oo on abc! And if you want to watch previous episodes go to the abc site.

OMG é hoje! Eu venho contando os dias até a data de hoje…não posso esperar para ver o que vai acontecer. Este será o primeiro episódio da última temporada de LOST e, finalmente, eles vão desvendar todos os mistérios que cercam a ilha e que incomodam agente desde a primeira temporada. On the third challenge the designers had to work in teams of two and create two looks. One was a high-end signature look with the budget of $500.00 and the second, was a look for less with the budget of $50.00 and this look had to be similar from one of the high-end looks of another team. This challenge was very confusing… and we all know that they hate to work in teams, so it was very interesting to see the final results at the runway. No terceiro desafio os designers tiveram que trabalhar em dupla e criar dois looks. Um foi o look de alta-costura com o orçamento de $500.00 e o segundo, foi um look baratinho com o orçamento de $50.00 e esse look deveria ser similar a algum look de alta-costura de outro time. Esse desafio foi muito confuso… e todos nós sabemos que eles odeiam trabalhar em times, então foi muito interessante de ver os resultados finais na passarela. On the second challenge the designers had to use potato sacks to create a cocktail dress. The models were their clients and they will be wearing these looks to a special industry event, so the designers had to satisfy them as well as the judges. No segundo desafio os designers tiveram que usar sacos de batata para criar um cocktail dress. As modelos foram as clientes e elas irão usar esses looks para um evento industrial especial, então os designers tinham que satifazer tanto elas quanto os juízes.
